(Gr)avatars in comments!
September 21st, 2009 by SharQueDoSince I enabled comments yesterday, I’m now still fine tuning them a bit. I wanted avatars with comments too, so I added Gravatars!
What’s a gravatar, you might ask? Well, the official site’s description reads:
Your Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums, so why not on any site?
So if you’re commenting not only on my blog, but other people’s blogs that have Gravatars enabled, it will show your own icon! You can sign up for free on their website and upload your image right away!
For those of you who wonder how it works, it’s based on your email address. You sign up with your email on Gravatar.com and upload an image. When you post here using the same email address, it will show your avatar from Gravatar! Isn’t that just convenience?
